“Fumbling her confidence and wondering why the world has passed her by...”
It was a cold night and to Alice's amber light eyes made no difference, her whole body was cold as ice. But she found no rest that night, how could she? It was a full moon and some of the enemy clan would be on the lookout for weak easy victims of their bloodthirsty clutches. She knew that, she had foreseen it and it was surely all happening now. That was not what truly bothered her though, simply their ability to withstand this world, to linger in it making sure to abstain themselves from causing any harm to the people, the mortal people who still lived and could die. 'Didn't I used to be a human myself?' She asked herself lost in thought. She could barely remember anything of her past life, rather waking up one day to find herself a vampire.
“Hoping that she's meant for more than arguments and failed attempts to fly...”
The wind blew strongly against her face. She knew that there had been times in which they easily managed to feed themselves on the blood of animals, and it worked didn't it? It worked until Isabella Swan normally referred to 'Bella' amongst her friends came to the peaceful yet tempestuous town. Alice loved her, truly, but her approach on the family made everyone feel uneasy. Not because she was different, and yet so alike them... but simply because she presented the greatest temptation they had ever overcome... Especially Edward.
“We were meant to live for so much more... Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside...”
She sighed for a moment and leaned her back against the tree. She wasn't that far away from home, simply scooping the beautiful landscape at night, it wasn't too dangerous now... was it? She only hoped Bella would be true to them as Edward and Alice were, she could be their banner or doom, the one friend to help them in this constant temptation and fight among those of their very kind, who followed different rules. And she would be, but then why was Alice so worried about it all now? Maybe because it meant they had to be more careful concerning humans, mortals, what every one of them once... used to be. There is light at the end of the dark path...
